The Samsung UN55D8000 55-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D LED HDTV (Silver) is definitely the HDTV of choice for all quality-viewing enthusiasts. From the design alone, it gives you only 0.2 inches of bezel, giving you the impression of all picture, and with no distracting frame. Auto Motion Plus 240Hz gives you clear and blur free viewing, with each frame blending smoothly onto to the next one to provide seamless entertainment.

Although there have been complaints about a white halo appearing on the left and right sides of the screen, this can be fixed by a few tweaks in the settings. Just set the TV to Standard or Movie picture mode and lower the backlight to 7. Use these settings for 2 weeks, and that should be enough time to get rid of the excess light causing the halo on both sides of the screen.
The 2 week wait time if you experience the ‘halo’ effect on your screen can seem like a long time, but the wait will surely be worth it should you decide to purchase this unit. Once on its proper settings, the Samsung UN55D8000 gives great performance and picture quality with features that makes it more than just your regular HDTV.
